Dec 13, 2010· What you need to check is if it is the lift cylinder or the HPL valve leaking. Lift the 3PH all the way to the top and then adjust your drop speed needle valve under the seat all the way clockwise so the needle valve is closed. If the arms drop, it's either a leaking lift cylinder (most likely) or the overpressure relief valve (not likely).

On my 8n and a few others I have seen the Hydraulics only work when the clutch is released and your either moving or sitting with the clutch released, If you want live hydraulics I believe you have to move up to a 600 or 800 series which would be a 53 or later model when they used live hydraulics.
