Aug 05, 2010· flighty is simply a castor issue, and can be corrected by changing the mounting holes of the upper control arms. that will dial in more castor. i had flighty steering with only about a 2.5" lift. flighty enough that my wife didn't want to drive it on the highway. those aev brackets fixed it right up. with 3.5" you might need a little more. every jeep is a little different.

Dec 23, 2013· Hello Wayalifers! Just wondering, will a 3.5" AEV lift kit fit 37" tires? I really want 37" tires, but my dealer says anything over a 4" lift will void warranty. I don't get why a 3.5" wouldn't void it, but a 4.5" would. I have been told by a few that they think 37" tires would not fit. Thanks, KingCon

Oct 17, 2016· I'm finally going to pull the trigger and upgrade my suspension to the AEV 3.5 RS system. Planning on doing the install myself! I haven't done much more than some bumper work and minor electrical on my jeep so going after a full suspension upgrade is a little intimidating.
I am in the middle of my second Aev 3.5 lift install. The first was over a year ago. My question for anyone who knows is I don't know if i have the correct washers for the transmission skid plate. I felt like when i saw them in my last kit you could look at them and say those MUST be it because of their size.

Oct 28, 2017· I've installed the 3.5 then went to the 4.5 then back down to the 3.5 and then I ditched the progressive AEV springs and shocks in favor of evo linear 4" springs all around with yellow montecristo tubos shocks. The AEV 4.5" was too high IMHO and rode awful on my heavy 4 door hard top.

On the newer JK's I know there is a problem with the driveshaft boot touching the exhaust and melting it once lifted past like 3" or more. Ways around this issue are: 1. Teraflex exhaust spacer kit 2. AEV Y-Pipe exhaust modification 3.

Oct 15, 2011· However, I'm pulling it off to install Currie arms, OME long travel shocks, Teraflex trackbars, long brakelines, and Clayton 3.5" springs because I want softer springs with components for longer suspension travel for offroading. The AEV kit is designed for street and expedition type driving. It is not a preferred setup for rock crawling.

Post up your pics of your JK with the AEV 3.5" lift, preferably 4 door, with 35's and/or 37's. 2 doors are welcome also. I measured and it will fit in the garage both ways. Sweet!
