Jan 28, 2016· It complement the aev kit very well, eliminates any possibility of death wobble and makes the truck feel solid and steering very responsive. I did test drive my jk with the aev with and without the terafkex bar and i did notice a difference quite a bit. In the 2.5" lift the geometry correction brackets are optional. I am glad i went for it.

May 25, 2019· Got the 2.5 inch lift installed last week. I had a local suspension place do it so the could align the jeep afterwards. The guy who did it says it was the fist jl he had done. Said the lift was easier than the jk version. I was lucky to get the lift when I did, I think they sold out in about a day.... It feels pretty good so far.

They have mentioned the brackets might be available as a "hop up" kit for the 2 inch lift kit and would be apparently the same brackets as the 3.5 and 4.5 kit but with holes for the 2.5.

AEV's DualSport 2.5-Inch XT Suspension System was designed to appeal to Jeep JK Wrangler owners who want the added highway and trail performance of AEV's taller 3.5 and 4.5-inch DualSport Systems, but with a reduced lift height.
The 2.5/3.5/4.5" holes in the AEV brackets are not straight up-and-down if you noticed. The lower 4.5 hole is set back more. So by changing to the Lower hole caster would increase. The 2.5 hole was added later and I believe the idea was to keep caster in stock range by position the new hole forward of the other 2. My rancho brackets have one hole.
Aug 09, 2019· Some 1,800 miles driven since the 2.5" AEV lift install. Currently, the lift is 3". The front axle is off by 1/2". The rear axle is off by a 1/4". It's drives and handles sooooooo well, I may table the remedy for a future consideration.

FWIW if my Jeep was still on the stock suspension I would just go with the 2.5" AEV lift with control arm brackets, and a 35" tire. The 1" extra lift adds a lot more headaches, potential drive line issues, and cost. I want the 3.5" kit but just found a great deal on a 2.5" kit. So I've decided to save the $1200 and stop holding up my build.
